Here is a description of Ms Lvov's concerts.
Ms. Lvov's performances are an experience unto themselves. She plays
the piano with incomparable passion, elegance and tenderness as the music inspires her.
A bold, passionate performer, she expresses herself with gestures; sometimes a hand
awaits mid-flight for a delicate entrance and at other times crashes down in a
fist to a deep thundering bass note. She allows the music to inspire her and
move through her. She seems to become one with the music. Her technique is flawless and her phrasing supurb.
She makes the most difficult virtuoso passages seem effortless.
Rarely having a set program, she adapts her repertoire to suit the
ambience and the audience's reactions. She introduces each piece with a story
about the artist or a description of the music and times when it was written.
This unusual trait among performers endears the audience not only to the
artist, but to the musical composition itself. These pieces, when introduced
like this become more alive and interesting to the listeners. Using her vast
knowledge of musical history, these introductions become educational as well
as inspiring.
Not one to limit her time, her programs run from forty minutes to and hour
and a half and usually more. Coming back for numerous encores is a norm, as the audience always
wants more. The Romantic Era is one of her favorites, with the music of Chopin, Liszt
and others. She performs Russian composers such as Rachmaninoff and Scraibin.
She is equally at home with Bach, Scarlatti and Beethoven. She also plays
Albinez, Ravel and Debussy and an amazing one-woman rendition of Rhapsody in Blue.
Ms Lvov generously performs for numerous fund-raising events and is an excellent
draw for these events.
